In this episode, we will learn how to say “I’m hungry” and “I’m full” in Korean.

How to say “I’m hungry” in Korean.

배고파요 Bae Go Pa Yo.

배 (Bae) means stomach and 고파요 (Go Pa Yo) means to crave to eat something. So literally, it means your stomach is craving to eat.

For “I’m full” , we say,

배불러요 Bae Bool Law Yo.

배 (Bae) means stomach and 불러요 ( Bool Law Yo) means full, therefore, 배불러요 means your stomach is full.

 

To say to your friends or people younger than you, you can just say 배고파 Bae Go Pa and 배불러 Bae Bool Law without 요 yo in the end.

 

Summary:

I’m hungry – 배고파요 Bae Go Pa Yo

I’m full – 배불러요 Bae Bool Law Yo

To your friends or people younger than you

I’m hungry – 배고파 Bae Go Pa

I’m full – 배불러 Bae Bool Law
